Easy to use and carry

These photos show that the stool is comfortable to sit on and also easy to carry.

Brand Ready

These fotos show that there is ample space for advertising to be printed onto the stool.

Economical to produce, easy to recycle

Easy to Assemble

As my design is constructed with one single sheet of xanita, cut out into an all in one folding net, assembling the stool is easy. These photographs show that it can be folded with four quick and easy steps.

Finished final model : Stool

These are a few photos potraying my design in a few conventional angles. The photos show that my stool concept looks different in all angles, due to the triangular inward folds that characterise the design. It is suitable for Design:Made:Trade becuase it appears interesting yet maintaining the essential functionability of seating required at a busy event. The stool will comfortably facilitate the interaction between manufacturers, retailers and designers as the seating height is at a relaxed 50 cm. This will ensure that patrons are physically accomodated as they work to secure deals.

Final Concept Layout Drawing

This is the the layout drawing of my final concept done in solidworks.

Problems identified when constructing full scale Xanita mockup

These photos show some of the problems i encountered when i made a full scale mock up with Xanita. The locking system became my biggest headache, calculating the angle of the two corresponding cuts with respect to the thickness of the board was not easy. Also, with the extreme angles of my folds, alot of care was needed so that the fine outer sheet was not torn. However, from constructing this full scale mock up, i achieved a clearer picture of how to execute my final piece.
